GEO in the Baltics: get found in ChatGPT in your language

More people in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia now ask ChatGPT and Gemini where to buy, which clinic to visit or which company to hire, often in their own language. Most GEO advice is written for English-speaking markets. Here's what works for Baltic businesses, and which tools support Latvian, Lithuanian and Estonian.

Why the Baltics are an opportunity

I'm Sergey Valums, a performance marketer based in Riga with about 10 years of experience working with local and international brands. In the Baltics, most businesses still haven't started on GEO. Few local sites publish clear, question-answering content in Latvian, Lithuanian or Estonian, so the bar to be the business AI recommends is much lower than in English.

That's the opportunity: a clinic, shop or B2B company that publishes steadily in the local language now can become the default answer in its niche before competitors notice.

Which tools write in Baltic languages

Soro already has Baltic customers. Gabriel Cicelis from Lithuania wrote: "We used to hire a content marketer but now all we need is Soro. Saved us hours and it takes like 10 minutes a day."

The Russian-language question

Many customers in Latvia and Estonia search in Russian, and Lithuania has a Russian- and Polish-speaking audience too. Neither BabyLoveGrowth nor Soro lists Russian. If a large share of your customers search in Russian, you have three options:

• Use a tool for the local language and write the most important Russian pages yourself.
• Ask the vendor directly whether Russian is available before you buy.
• Start with the local language, which is where competition in AI answers is lowest.

What Baltic businesses should do first

1. Pick one main language for each market. Give each language its own pages rather than mixing languages on one page, and connect them with hreflang tags.
2. Answer local questions. Prices in euros, delivery inside the Baltics, local regulations, the cities you serve. AI assistants favour specific local answers.
3. Complete your Google Business Profile and the main local directories and review sites, in every language you serve.
